Raw Local Honey

I'm a true believer of eating local honey.  Yes,it's a natural sweetener  and I enjoy the taste as well. For me it helps minimize my allergies.  I take a teaspoon in the morning and another before bedtime.  Bees obtain two items froms flowers, one is pollen  and the other is nectar for the production of honey.  When consuming honey it acts as a vaccine and helps the immune system build up a resistant against pollen in the air.

Woman In The Garden

This is an impressionist painting by Claude Monet.  He was the most consistent impressionist and enjoyed painting landscapes.  He captures his subjects by painting quickly while the paint was still wet.  Monet was good with his subject subject matter but in 1867 the painting Woman In The Garden was rejected due to narrative and subject weakness.  He was 26 when he put this on canvas. I enjoy the way he caught the suns reflection dancing across the landscape, but in contrast I am also pleased with the dark colors used to interpret shadows.

The Kongo Culture (The Seated Man)

This author of the Kongo has caught a great deal of expression  in the figures features.  There is clear glass over the eyes gives them depth and lifelike characteristics while the mouth was a reflection of sadness. His posture is called funda nkata.  It reflects the control necessary for responsibility and leadership.  In the Kongo culture its believed the resting head and hand is an indication of mourning for those left behind.  Grave sites in the Kongo represented the threshold  between the worlds of the living and the dead.  This seated figure would have been in shines that kept wooden sculptures and personal items belonging to the deceased.

The Agony in the Garden by Massaccio

I picked this painting because it shows the concern JESUS,praying asking the angel of the LORD for help. Then JESUS said to HIS HEAVENLY FATHER not my will but your will be done.
